Azul Voyages started with a simple complaint: booking a trip online felt nothing like actually taking one. We set out to fix that.
We started in a spare room in 2014 with two laptops, a shared spreadsheet of hotels we'd actually stayed in, and a phone line that one of us answered no matter the hour. That part hasn't changed much. What has changed is the map: our travel experts have now planned trips across more than 60 countries, most of which they've visited themselves.
We're not the cheapest way to book a flight, and we won't pretend otherwise. What we offer instead is judgment: knowing which hotel room actually has the view, which ferry gets cancelled in shoulder season, and which "must-see" is worth skipping. That's the part a search engine can't do.
